Clayton Harrington's career in international education began as an undergraduate student when he spent a year studying at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in Mexico City. He has since collected almost 20 years of professional experience in education, earned an M.A. in International Education and became a champion for global student experiences.
Prior to American Higher Education Alliance, Mr. Harrington spent 8 years as the Director of U.S. Member Relations at ISEP, a global membership organization of over 330 universities and colleges. At ISEP, Mr. Harrington successfully managed member recruitment, directed engagement, and established strategy for the organization.
Mr. Harrington gained valuable experience in international education in his role at the Chilean Ministry of Education where he established and maintained international partnerships between Chilean and American educational institutions, managing the Ministry’s only undergraduate education abroad scholarship and supporting a UNDP-funded English teaching program.
Mr. Harrington earned a Masters in International Education from SIT Graduate Institute and BA in Latin American Studies from Goddard College. He is a married father of two who enjoys travel, hiking, and reading novels.
