American Higher Education Alliance (AHEA) Names Benjamin Shank CEO
Boca Raton, Florida February, 1, 2019 – American Higher Education Alliance (AHEA), a non-profit organization serving higher education institutions in the United States and around the world, has named Benjamin Shank as Chief Executive Officer.

Before assuming the leadership of AHEA, Mr. Shank’s strong commitment to advancing international learning led him to dedicate 15 years of his professional career to higher education institutions, cultivating his vast credentials in global education and international cultural exchanges. Shank’s passion for global educationand dedicated leadership transformed Keiser University; originally a commuter University, it now is regarded as an international University with a diverse body of students from around the world. Shank oversaw the development and coordination of policies and procedures carried out by over 3,500 employees at 17 individual campus locations, the establishment and subsequent accreditation of two international campuses, and the creation of strategic global partnerships. His belief that global education is the future of instruction is clearly evident in his transformative, passionate experience at Keiser University.
He is a sought-after speaker and has presented at professional education conferences on a range of topics pertaining to global leadership and engagement. Mr. Shank is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and lives with his wife Deborah and children in Parkland, Florida. Shank is a member of NAFSA (Association of International Educators) and American Council on Education (ACE). He is a native of Hannover, Pennsylvania.
